The Grand Statue
As you walk past the shrine of Panchamukhi Anjaneya, you will see the magnificent presence of his beloved Lord, Sri Kodandaraama Swami. The Grand Statue Standing at 26 feet tall (including the pedestal), this is the world’s tallest statue of Sri Kodandaraama carved from a single Black Stone (Krishna Shila). The statue is designed in the beautiful Hoysala architectural style. Seeing Lord Rama standing in this pose brings a sense of deep peace and devotion. The incredible skill of the sculptors is visible in every fine detail of the Lord holding his bow and arrow.
Dashavatara Prabhavali
Dashavatara Prabhavali: Behind the statue of Lord Rama is a massive decorative arch (Prabhavali) covered in brass. This arch beautifully displays the ten avatars (Dashavatara) of Lord Vishnu.
Abhisheka Gopura
Abhisheka Gopura: To perform the sacred bath (Abhisheka) for this giant statue, a 35-foot tall tower has been built. Devotees can climb this tower to offer flowers and prayers to the Lord with their own hands.
The Giant Umbrella
The Giant Umbrella: Above the Abhisheka Mantapa, there is a very large white umbrella known as the Shweta Chatra.
Bala Ganapathi Shrine
Bala Ganapathi Shrine: To the right of Lord Rama, there is a shrine for Bala Ganapathi. Pijas are performed here on Special days like Sankashti.
Bhakta Anjaneya
Bhakta Anjaneya: Right next to Lord Rama, there is a 3.5-foot statue of Bhakta Anjaneya sitting in deep meditation and devotion to his Master.
Naga Sannidhi
Naga Sannidhi: The temple also houses a sacred space for the Naga Devata (Snake God). Special rituals and Abhishekas are performed here during festivals like Naga Panchami.
The 15 feet high Anjaneya's stone mace (Gada)
As you enter the Kodanda Rama shrine, you will see a massive 15-foot stone mace belonging to Hanuman. Nearby, the walls feature beautiful stone carvings that tell the entire history and story of Hanumagiri.
